take Air France between 4 to 6 times per year from Italy to the United States. Why? Continental Miles and generally the cheapest tickets, not to mention 7 flights from Florence to Paris per day. I have usually been very lucky in that I get put on a new Continental 777 to the US from CDG - which I agree is the world's nastiest airport - in terms of cleanliness and organization. Due to their disorganization I have flown Business Class three times in the last 18 months, so there is something to be said for it. I have used them also because I would rather cut off my right arm than take Alitalia. My family which goes back and forth often has also had a love hate relationship with the Gaullic Giant. Mainly in the form of 15 minute connections, no courtesy cart to tote around the elderly and LONG waits for those people movers from hell. However they did enjoy the food and have had positive comments when comparing it to the international service on American and Delta Airlines.
